 Today we had a young guy running away from the  Police across our garden, jumped over one fence, then managed to avoid our dogs, jumped on the bench and broke it while getting over another fence to our neighbours. He dropped a knife and  belt in our garden which was later collected by Police officers as evidence.

Yes, I am angry and I’m angry for a reason. I’m a home owner, I pay my bills, council tax and all other taxes. Yet this scum cost me £40 for a new bench and stress that my family does not feel secure in our own property.

I think it’s time for us to take some more responsibility, as the Home Owners we should not allow any more housing in our area. Shortstown is settled by the Council through penal transportation - out of Bedford. And what’s next? New Cardington, the oasis, New Australia, paradise for criminals.

Residents of Biddenham would not allow that, their Councillors must be doing their job a bit better.
